Things Jesus never said.

A reminder I need in my anger today.
Blessed are the tweeters and bloggers,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who attack,
   for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the rabid,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for vengeance,
   for they will be filled.
Blessed are the unwilling to listen,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the cold in heart,
   for they will see God.
Blessed are the war-mongers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who imagine they are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

The kingdom of God is like a treasure buried in a field, which then a group of angry people found and covered up again. Then in their hate they kept other people from the treasure.

The kingdom of God is very easy for a rich person to enter into.

And one thing he actually did say:
“Knowing the correct password—saying ‘Master, Master,’ for instance—isn’t going to get you anywhere with me. What is required is serious obedience—doing what my Father wills. I can see it now—at the Final Judgment thousands strutting up to me and saying, ‘Master, we preached the Message, we bashed the demons, our God-sponsored projects had everyone talking.’ And do you know what I am going to say? ‘You missed the boat. All you did was use me to make yourselves important. You don’t impress me one bit. You’re out of here.’
Going to be thinking on that for a while. Love you all. xo
